A photography in training as quoted by him however he still is excellent at what he does. Some of his work has been published here, the world wonders “Who is Paul Ward?”

If you’ve found yourself at a club recently dancing to an indescribably catchy track in a language you absolutely do not understand but like anyway; it’s most likely the new debut from singer/rapper/songwriter Stromae. I myself have had the pleasure of breaking out into electro delight when the song “Alors On Danse” hits the decks and the crowd goes into a frenzy

I’ve been asked to add my voice to an online petition several times in the last few days. It seems that a number of my alumni are horrified and shocked that there is talk of changing the name of Rhodes University. According to the petition that is doing the rounds, such renaming of my educational institution would “degrade my degree” and destroy the history of the university

Fashion:Non-Identity

What exactly is fashion? A loss of personal identity because you want to be as fab (or unknowingly not so fab) as the masses, perhaps? Or maybe it’s a form of self-expression through style and design of clothes? This question crossed my mind just the other day as I was walking around campus with a few of my friends.

Lauren Beukes is very clever. I had suspected as much when I finished Moxyland, her first novel, and any doubts on the matter were lovingly murdered in their sleep by Zoo City. It’s a difficult novel to place, genre-wise, which is a mark in it’s favor, as far as I’m concerned; Beukes could very easily have written a perfectly competent South African crime novel, or an ambiguous slice of ‘magical realism.

How many of you have watched a movie, just a regular movie, and thought “Wow that was really an artwork!”, and no I don’t mean “Wow that girl in that movie was so hot her body was an artwork!”. I’m going to take an opinionated standpoint here and say that most probably not that many of you, obviously excluding all film critics who might be reading this article thinking that film is the ONLY art form!

So on my Facebook page, it says that my favourite books are by Dostoyevsky and Camus, and that my favorite quotes come from Voltaire and Martin Luther King, Jr. My profile picture is the most flattering one of me I could find, and any unpleasant photos have been summarily untagged; they’re still floating around online, but at least they’re a little harder to find.

Social networking: An Internet addiction

We all have different addictions and here is a second article on the addictions we have!
Well, it’s pretty simple. If you’d interrupt dinner to social network, then you are definitely hooked to social media. Social networking is everywhere, believe it or not. People are often confused as to how they get addicted or obsessed. It’s really not that hard because as soon as you enter the world of gadgetology, it’s late for you. The most visited or well known are Facebook and Twitter and maybe even more.
